Pinned on coffee
If you have known me for very long you know or will find out very quickly that I have my own vocabulary and I love coffee. This morning I am fired up on some serious shots and this has me pinned (aka-full throttle, needled buried into the red zone, etc)out of my dome(head), like a puppy drinking Red Bull. Too bad I have to sit still for the next 5 hrs on a plane. No worries I will probably fall right to sleep.

Change up your activity
Since the rain has come here in the great NW you are forced to find other activities outside that are not weather dependent. So lately I have been riding my Moto and Mtn Bikes virtually everyday and only paddling every other day. This last weekend was no exception as I rode my moto hard on Friday and Sat which was awesome. On Sunday I did a very fun 5 mile SUP paddle at full speed covering 5 miles in one hr. Today looks like cloudy and NO Rain so I will get out and play on my MX bike again. Stoked. The moral of the story here for me is that it feels good to change up activities often and keep the interest/awareness level high but also to keep different muscle groups firing. Try getting out and doing 3 different activities this week. You'll be stoked.

Staring at this 8'11" and the rain isn't helping...
Guess I will have to check the forecast at the coast. I heard it was a West Swell at 20 ft and that means a beat down for sure. Last time I went out there for that I was reduced to surfing big foam balls on the inside for 2 days. My legs were shot by the time the waves shaped up. Now I know better. There is wind though so maybe kiting? Paradise soon though:)

Eat a great breakfast you will benefit all day.
Recipe
2-cups water (bring to boil with dash of salt)
1-Tab of Butter (the real shizzle)
1-tablespoon Maple Syrup (the real shizzle=trs)
1-tablespoon raisins
1-tablespoon cranberries dried
bring all this to a boil
Add;
1-hand full of Old Fashioned oats-TRS!
1-handful grits (ground cornmeal)
1-handful cream of wheat or any other hot cereal
I am currently loving the Bob's Best Oat Bran Hot Cereal
Dash:
Cinnamon
stir:
reduce heat to low
cover let sit for 7 minutes
Optional add ins:
Nuts
Bananas (add really late in cooking cycle unless you like them really mushy)
Apples (add them early for softer texture-my preference:)
SNARF:
As fast as possible and as much as possible if your going to be working out vigorously-- knowing that later on maybe even that 15th mile you were stoked you took the extra bites.
Snarf medium:
If you don't have anything else or even light fitness planned.
Enjoy DG
